Hosted at La Rasude in Lausanne, the Design Dinner was one of the most unique moments of this year's Design Days. Set between active railway tracks and surrounded by the raw atmosphere of a former postal site in transformation, the evening brought together design, gastronomy, scenography, and conversation in an unexpected setting.

The culinary experience was imagined by Fud Läb, while the table scenography was created by Karen Pisoni from Pisoni Lab, transforming a long communal table into a stage for discoveries, and shared moments.

Accompanied by the sounds of passing trains and a nearby water installation, the dinner unfolded in a rhythm entirely its own. The film seeks to capture this suspended moment, a night of designers, creators, and guests gathered around a table to exchange ideas and celebrate creativity.

The soundtrack was chosen in dialogue with the site itself. Inspired by the movement, cadence, and mechanical poetry of the railway environment, the editing follows the rhythm of the music much like a train follows its tracks, creating a visual journey that echoes the atmosphere of the evening.

More than a documentation of an event, this short film is an attempt to preserve the feeling of a fleeting experience where design, place, sound, and human connection briefly aligned.
